Survey Results - What is your preferred physical server type for hypervisor deployment? Print E-mail

The results are in!

For those that are not aware I run surveys on this site to gather statistical information on related topics and technologies.

In this case the poll was a simple but interesting question:

"What is your preferred physical server type for hypervisor deployment?"

This poll has been running about 8 months and had 332 responses. Thank you if you responded!

The results are in graphical form below. This survey found that that deployment of blade and rack servers for hypervisors is literally a photo finish, with 0.6% different between them.

I will run this survey again in the future to gauge how this changes in future. In 12 months time from now (Dec 2011 so around 2013) I expect blade servers to become more common place as more workloads become virtual both P2V's and new server deployments (including VDI).
