ESXi - Accessing the Unsupported Console Print E-mail

As some may know ESXi 3.5 and 4.0 has an unsupported console which can be accessed for VMware technical support etc.

However if you know what your doing it can be useful for getting to the bottom of a problem before calling VMware about an issue.

To gain access to the Unsupported Console:
1. ALT+F1
2. Type "unsupported"
3. Type <your root password>

And there you are, so blindingly obvious its unsupported! So use with caution. It runs a very light version of Linux called Busybox.

You will find an array of esxcfg commands available to assist if required.
