Ok the survey results are in...
As you may or may not know, I have been running for sometime a poll named "What vendor do you use for SAN storage?". Mainly for my intrest but it may also be of use to others, to gather some statistics on popular storage vendors.
Here are the results...

1. EMC storage is at the top spot with 118 voters 20.9% using EMC.
2. Closely followed by EqualLogic's iSCSI storage offerings in use by 103 voters 18.3%.
3. In Third place is NetApp but still not far behind with 98 voters weighing in at 12.8%

They appear to be the big three storage vendors everyone is using, and why not? Ive worked with both EMC and EqualLogic storage and the feature sets are brilliant while ease of use for management make the experience overall enjoyable.
For example I like EqualLogic's "all included" features/licensing (i.e. replication is no extra cost), while EMC have their great FAST feature to automatically tier storage as required.

I'd like be able to get familiar with NetApp storage, so I can make a better comment from their side, but I understand it may be their de-duplication feature could be putting them ahead, saving storage costs?!

<--- And don't forget to vote on the latest poll to your LEFT, Thank you!
