After VMware thought up their last bunch of name changes, they didnt stop there. They will be renaming Virtual Infrastructure as.... wait for it...... vSphere!
They are making alot of name changes recently, and for what benefit? When people are trying to move to virtual the last thing they need to do is confuse them with product name changes.

I think Virtual Infrastructure made more sense, it does what it says on the tin and when abbreviated "VI" is smaller than "vSphere" or will be calling it "vS".
I think "vInfrastructure" would have made more sense with the vXXXX range of products and still would be recognised and seen as VI for short.
