Ok the survey results are in... As you may or may not know, I have been running for sometime a poll named

"Which hypervisor do you use for your XenDesktop deployment?"

Mainly for my intrest to gather some statistics on popular questions I get asked, but it may also be of use to others.

1. VMware vSphere is at the top spot with 232 voters 70.7%

2. Citrix XenServer is in secound place with 76 voters 23.3%

3. Microsoft Hyper-V is third with the remaining 20 voters 6.1%

VMware vSphere is at the top spot as the most widley used hypervisor for XenDesktop deployments. Inrestingly Citrix's own hypervisor (which you get free with XenDesktop) is in second place.

The only reason for this I can fathom (as cost would dictate otherwise) is that IT teams are already well skilled in vSphere and hold it with high regard.

Finally Hyper-V is used for XenDesktop deployments but the gap between Hyper-V and Citrix is fairly large, it would be intresting to see how this changes in the next 12 months.

<--- And don't forget to vote on the latest poll to your LEFT, Thank you!
